"End of communication channel" error while Loading

Hi,

DB Version: Release 11.2.0.3.0

OS: AIX

I have  a subpartitioned table(subpartition by list) to load. I am using sqlloder DIRECT mode for it to load. There is a function that updates one column in case it is spaces in the data file. The Funcation def is :
