Hi -

Have been working on this for a while and have followed several Oracle  notes, but it is still not resolved. Any help would be appreciated.

PROBLEM: Unable to connect to Oracle db via client  - note: client is on linux for application user connectivity on the same server.

ORA-12545: Connect failed because target host or object does not exist
NOTE: Initial issue caused by host name with underscores in it. I cannot change the host name in the data center.

TROUBLESHOOTING STEPS SO FAR:

1. Fresh install of 11.2.0.3 database on RHEL 6.2 64 bit.
 - Install warning due to emca failure/hostname issue.
