Migrating EBS Setups to Product Information Management (PIM)

Can someone direct me to documentation that addresses how an existing EBS Inventory client migrates their existing data to PIM.  Everything we find in the documentation, is a brand new implementation and I have not been able to find anything that helps to address items such as 'Converting existing item categories to alternate catalogs in PIM'  If I search existing documentation on Alternate Catalogs, nothing is returned.
