Embedding a List

Has anyone ever embedded a public list on an object's detail page?  We have a public list and would like to embed it on the Account PG while passing in values from the Account as filters.  Is this possible?  Any idea on how the iframe statement would be structured?

We can use a report, but the report is running very slow.
