How to detach a hardware RAID-1 disks
Hi Experts,
What is the safest way to break or detach a hardware RAID-1 mirror disk?
I was thinking of shutting the server down and pull one of the disks out then
power-on the system and then insert a new disk for replacement.
Alternatively, can I just "force failed" the affected disk by pulling it out
while the system is still running?
I got one bad experience when I use the first method, I got corrupted mirror
after I put back the original disk for resync.
