11g - Why no Microsoft Login link?

We just upgraded to 11g and my users are NOT happy because now they have to sign on every time they open Webcenter Content session.  I knew they weren't going to like it, but wow, they REALLY don't like it!!  Why, oh why did Oracle do away with the Microsoft Login link?  To add insult to injury, neither IE nor Firefox recognize that the login page IS a login page, so there's no prompt to save the user's credentials there either.  Without having to purchase yet another product, is there a way to pass in the user's credentials behind the
