Hi Gurus,

One of our servers losted bootarchive during patching thus not bale to boot normally. I tried to create the boot archive by booting to failsafe mode mounting the root disk and runing bootadm commadn. but no boot archive was generated.

# bootadm update-archive -v -R /a
cannot find: /a/etc/cluster/nodeid: No such file or directory
cannot find: /a/etc/mach: No such file or directory

# cd /a/platform/SUNW,Sun-Fire-V490
# ls
kernel lib

Do anyone knows what may stop a server from generate the boot archive?

Thanks in advance,

Alex
