Clusterware on RHEL 5.2: Is add node with RHEL 5.8 possible?

Hi,
our Cluster with Oracle Clusterware 11.2 is working on the operating system Red Hat Linux 5.2. We want to extend the cluster with nodes with Red Hat Linux 5.8. Is it possible? Our plan is: adding two nodes with RHEL 5.8 and then delete the old nodes. It is not the target to operate with all four nodes over a lot of time. It is only a migration plan.

Oracle Support says: It is not supported.

Do you have any experiences? Would you recommend this way?
