Retaining format changes on a spreadsheet when using Import/Export

edited Sep 24, 2012 6:52AM in JDEdwards World (MOSC)
Question:

In release A9, why are the formatting changes on an imported spreadsheet not retained?

Answer:

The JD Edwards World import/export process uses .csv (comma delimited) format rather than .xls or .xlsx (Excel format). You can load all the data in an Excel spreadsheet, making all format changes and saving the spreadsheet.  Once the spreadsheet has been saved in Excel you may then save it as .csv and place it in your IFS (Integrated File System) directory.  The key is to only answer the first question with Yes:

“xxxx.csv may contain features that are not compatible with CSV (Comma delimited). Do you want to keep the workbook in this format?”

Howdy, Stranger!
