How Does One Apply Patch 6400501 to 10.1.3 Home

Trying to apply the pre-req patches for the recommended patch 9239090 - ORACLE E-BUSINESS SUITE 12.1.3 RELEASE UPDATE PACK , but when I get to 9883278 it fails.

Research indicates that I need to apply patch 6400501 to my 10.1.2 oracle home, but I cannot. I need to apply to 10.1.3 home.

Please advice on how this patch can be applied.
