zfs archive recovery failure

zfs snapshot and send went without a hitch. I sent the snapshot to a gzipped file on an nfs mount. I wanted to recover the archive on an identical T5240 which was booted from my AI server boot image. However the receive command fails with:

gzcat /mnt/dc4gzdev11_20120921.zfs.gz | zfs receive -vF rpool
cannot receive: stream has unsupported feature, feature flags = 0

Opened a ticket and the tech rightly points to  1461944.1
 which essentially says that the server doing the receive will fail with the above error unless it is SRU 3 or later.
