Server Time zone profile option

     Dear All,
  For business needs we use the ERES (Electroinc signature and Electronic records). This requires us to set the (Server Time zone profile option and EDR: Server Time zone profile option ) as they where null.
   Does this will impact and make error for any application and db issues? if yes how to solve it so that we can set those profile options without any impact.

  Note: It is EBS General issue but i didn't find community for general issues.
