Intel VT-d and Oracle VM 3.1.1

in Oracle VM (OVM) (MOSC) Question
Hello,
The documentation mentions that Oracle VM 3.1.1 is not able to take advantage of Intel VT-d. Does anyone know why it is not yet compatible and if there plans to support VT-d does this version of OVM?
