Drill Through not working in accordance with Generation setting

We have our Drill Through Generations set 3 levels down from the top of our dimension hierachies but Drill Through is not working at those generations from SmartView.  I have to be much lower down in the hierachy on all dimensions and at least 1 dimension needs to be at level 0. 

When using SmartView to query and attempt Drill Through on a Drill Through report, we recieve one of these messages each time:

Error executing report \'PNW_RPT'\Drill Through Reports'\'Source Detail' in the Essbase Studio, message : Error in the statement interpret. Line = 1792

The request timed out.  Contact your adminitrator to increase the netRetryCount and netRetryInterval.
