Hi,
We have two web applications running on two node RAC (10.2.0.4) on Red Hat Linux 5.4 in NJ with DR site in Chicago.
Our DR databases are standalone for these two web applications and they are on RHEL 5.4 too.
Last year, the DR Linux servers in Chicago were not that powerfull like the RAC production servers.
When we performed the DR test in chicago last year, we found the database performance was very slow.
This year we moved the two standalone DR servers to VMware. The standby databases are still the same with all init.ora parameters as the primary db's.
