Is there a way to default in Document type specific from program P09101?

The Journal entry program has no way to default in doc type specific. The reason is there is no field security for the document type field and the processing options for the program do not have a way to pre load a value on doc type (it does for ledger type only). Enhancement Bug 14685346 was entered requesting a processing option be added to P09101 to default in specific doc type.
