How can I remove seeded task types from UWQ that are not used by our Service groups?

Hello - There are many task types listed in the tasks node in UWQ. How can I remove the ones we don't use?-I don't see a way to end date the seeded task types and there are many of those that we are not using.
-I tried end dating the type mapping but I can still see them in UWQ.
-I tried mapping them to a different source but that also did not work.
Any suggestions?
