Issues during install of 2530 M2 array attached to X2270 server runnind RHEL 5.4
The subject is the long story short. Trying to do OIS install of array on existing server. Was told CAM version 6.7 was supported on RHEL 5.4, but had major problems installing it. (Lockhart not a valid entity).
Support later mentioned that best practices prefers CAM not on data host, but rather on a separate management host - installed on Windows workstation just fine, but turned out to be too downlevel for the array. Installed CAM 6.9, updated firmware properly, began configuration, created test volumes, then wanted to mount them on the RHEL system (X2270 where the hba is that's attached to the array). The OS does not see it, so cannot mount, cannot finish the basic installation.
