Phantom Items on BPA

I've around 30-40 parts which are in Open BPA but are made phantom later. Few of them have open releases too. Hence the BPA line is not allowing me to cancel/Finally close it. I'm not sure whether the items will taken up by MRP run and will create Planned orders?Should i go for applying phantom template at the item level?
