OS Block Size Question

edited Oct 7, 2012 8:55PM in Linux Operating System (MOSC) 7 commentsAnswered
We are migrating our 9.2.0.5 HP-UX PA-RISC database to an 11.2.0.3 Oracle Linux 6 enviroment. Our current OS block size is 8k and our DB block size is 8k. I would like to know if anyone has a recommendation for our Linux OS block size (default is 4k). We know the DB block size can be the same or multiples of the OS block size, but is there and advantage to configuring the OS block size to match the DB block size. For example, OS block size 8k and Db block size 8k?

Thanks for any advice.
