Upgrading Financials to R12.1.3. Can we keep R11i tax and NOT upgrade to EBTax 12.1.3?

Hello,

We are upgrading Financials from R11i to R12.1.3. In Metalink it states: You have the option to run taxes in Release 12 similarly to how you did it inRelease 11i and gradually migrate to the new E-Business Tax model, when you have the time or the need to adopt the new capabilities of E-Business Tax.[ID 889733.1]

Can we move forward without installing EBTax 12.1.3 and still use the old R11i tax formats in AP, PO and AR?
