Why is it requesite to define a cost center for the flexfiled?

Hi,

i am implementing FA R11.5.10 for a new client who already get Module GL, PO  and AP. Durring the test validation i was faced on an issue regarding the "run depreciation program", which was solved by definning ( flag)  a cost center as a qualifier on the key flexfield.

My question is did my action have an impact for the other modules. Cause FA will be interfaced with AP.

In the Prod instance there is any segment defined with qualifier as "cost center".

Please advise
