Does Category Management drive Replenishment?

Hi,

I was going through the Oracle Retail Category Management guides and one of the questions we are asked frequently, how does the output of Category Management (e.g. Optimal facings for each item, Optimal Space allocated to each time) feed into Replenishment.

First, does the category management need to drive replenishment like forecasting? Does it go only to Stores for Planogram purposes?

The Category Management takes Item level Forecast as one of the inputs to determine space and facings, but it does not give an item level sales plan out of the box.

So, can this be used to drive replenishment from stores, if so how? Does there need to be a connect between Cat Man., demand forecasting and replenishment to drive this?

Howdy, Stranger!
