Bypass the Severity 20 Errors during Compilation Process

edited Oct 4, 2012 7:54AM in JDEdwards World (MOSC)
Q:  How to bypass this error compiling?  Attempt to compile a program after you have applied a code change and you get this error “Compilation stopped. Severity 20 errors found in program”.  In other word, it’s when a compile will not create the object in the JDFOBJ library because  there are errors greater than the generation level.

A: You will need to increase the Generation Severity Level to 21.  The Generation Severity level field is located in the SVR (Software Versions Repository) screen.  If for some reason you get error 0025 when attempting to change it thru SVR, please change it directly thru the F9801 file.

Howdy, Stranger!
