Service contract covered level Item

When we have covered level selected as Item, is it possible to enter inventory items which need not be install base trackable

 To have the inventory item entered in contract sublines need to have the Enable contract coveraga flag checked in service tab in Inventory. When checking this attribute Track in Install base also gets checked automatically.
