RACcheck tool open file descriptors for root user suggestion (Grid Infrastructure 11.2.0.3)

Hi all,

I would like to ask about the open file descriptor limit check performed by raccheck tool regarding root user. It suggests a much higher value (>=65536)  than the default configured (1024). If I'm not mistaken this prerequisite is not included in any relevant documentation (GI installation guide, RAC assurance docs etc). Is this a correct suggestion or is it a false check by the raccheck tool? And if it's a valid prerequisite how should anyone configure it in order to be active during GI startup? I mean:

1) /etc/security.limits.conf  ?

2) root user profile ?

3) create /etc/initscript ?
