Send email to the approver to notify that there are the work requests waiting for approve.

Hi everyone,
Can somebody please guide how to setup email notification for work request approver?
My customer want to get the notification for pending work request in email first then will he will log in the app for approving.
I'm not sure if there's any setup to send the approver email while also sending the notification in maintenance superuser.
Can you please advise?
