Error in recreating Essbase Outline while using EAL

I was resynching HFM data into Essbase by using the EAL bridge functionality and this process completes successfully. But when I try the next step of recreating the Essbase ouline I keep getting the following Error message.

Error: Unexpected error occurred. Please see a log file   

The log file does not seem to offer any useful information. 

The Essbase EAL connection gets severed evey weekend during the back up process and I have to to restablish the connection by resynching the data and then recreating the outline.  Until that process is complete the Essbase database can not retrieve any data.
