Impact of Deleting Task Level Asset Assignments after costs are capitalized against the assets assig

Hi PA Gurus,We have a custom process where we create new project assets assign them to lowest level tasks and place them in service using PA APIs and allocate costs to these assets(Allocation basis extn)

We append a sequence number(counter) while creating  new asset , The project asset name on the very first asset assigned to the task is the key for creation of new assets.

We noticed because improper/incosistent asset naming convention is not followed on some initial assets setup on the project and assigned to task, this is causing an issue in the new asset creation with a sequence and costs allocated to wrong assets on the task.
