Restoring Server Parameter file

Hi All,

Greetings of the day. Hope everyone is doing great. DB version in my env is 11.2.0.2  I was studying the Rman Recovery scenarios  http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E11882_01/backup.112/e10642/rcmadvre.htm#CHDBEDCH

Doubt is , in what cases we need to do restore of SP file ? as i could see from 11g create spfile from memory can be done .

So if in running PROD if sp file is lost we can create it from memory.
