EXADATA -build/configure DBFS_DG disk group greater than 2TB

Can someone tell me why we can't extend or build DBFS_DG disk group greater than 2TB.

When we requested to have it configured >2TB we got the response as it cannot be configured beyond 2TB as it is hard coded.  We would like to know if there is a way to change from default 2TB limitation .
