Customer Item Status Field in RLM Processing Rules - Items at Address Level

I just came across what I think is a relatively new field in the General Tab, RLM Processing Rules, Items At Address Level (or just never paid attention to it).  This field is not mentioned either in the RLM Imp Manual or the updated RLM Users Guide (Aug 2010).  When I select LOV I see 11 values, "All Functions Enabled:, All funtions disabled", 3 Obsolete Values, Phantom items, ERES Rejected, Items Status for Oracle Process Manufacturing Items, New Item currently being released or processed and the last 2 are the same, All Functions are disabled.

Looking for explanation on what these value are used for since they are only at the Address Item Level.  Purpose?  Any effect on how this item is processed into OM as firm demand?
