iRec Module - Need to the logics behind creation of new password

Hi,

 When a candidate uses the Forgot password link in the irecruitment visitor page, a new password is generated and mailed to the user. 

The question, what is the format/policy applied to the password generated ? (length of password/upper/lower case etc) Is this controlled by any system settings ?
