In-line editing and workflows

 Good day everyone,

Hope someone can help me with a minor issue with workflows and in-line editing of records in CRMOD.

Record Type: Opportunity
Trigger Event: When Modified Record is Saved
Condition: PRE('<PlanValue'>)<>('<PlanValue>')

when the condition is true, I've created a generic email message that alerts the record owner of the change.  Nothing too fancy as you can probably tell.

The issue I am having is that when I modify the targeted field using in-line editing, the email is never sent.  It definitely works when I use the formal process of clicking on the "EDIT" button of an opportunity and make the necessary modification.
