ORA-01001: invalid cursor --- fails in one database but works in 2 others

ORA-01001: invalid cursor
I get the above in one particular database only.   It works fine in two other databases.  The code is the same in all three so I know it's not the code.  Must be something in the environment.  Any ideas on what differences to check for between the 3 databases?
