Quotation does not default in Requisition

Hi,
I am facing a weird problem. I have the following setups in place:

Profiles:
PO: Automatic Sourcing set to 'Yes' at site level
MRP: Default Sourcing Assignment set - Set to 'ASCP Set' at responsibility level (say resp ABC Buyer). At Site level its blank. Nothing is set at org, application or user levels.

Sourcing Rule and ASL is defined for item 'XYZ'. 

RFC and Quote defined for item XYZ with UOM = Pound and price = 4.5 with effectivity date from 10-Oct-12 till 16-Oct-2013. 

When i enter a requisition manually today (16th Oct) from the responsibility ABC Buyer, when i enter the item XYZ, i see the UOM and price default from the Quote.But when i click on the Source details tab, the source i.e Quote document#, line# etc dont show up. I tried entering the qty and need-by date, but it dint make any difference. What can be the possible reason? Do you this when the planned orders are released from ASCP, the requisition don't have any source details.
