Item Category range in PO Approval Groups

Hi Friends,

Greetings of the day...!!

we have defined new category 4B.ENG and assigned to specific items. Defined Approval group with item category range as low value 0000.0000.0000 , High value 4B.ENG.XXXXXXXX and amount limit : 5000$.

Now we have create PO document with total 1500$  for category 4B.ENG Items but PO Approval failed. Every thing seems to be fine(Approval group assigned to correct position and buyer)

Whether Item category range in approval group will consider only PO Default Category? or other categories also??

AIM : I wish to create separate approval group for category 4B.ENG items.

Can you someone help please help me on this. Whether i missed anything set up?
