How to tune the Grid Control Agent to monitor a large number of targets

Hi Everyone,
The Grid Control (10g and 11g) Agents are not tuned out of box for a large number of targets.  Do you have any success stories you would like to share with us or any issues you haven't been able to resolve.  Please feel free to join this thread to discuss how to tune your Grid Control Agent to monitor a large number of targets.
