making fields mandatory

Hi

I need to make Port of loading, Port of discharge, shipping method mandatory fields on delivery level at shipping transaction form against order type.

secondly I also need to make packing mandatory,if we do ship confirm without packing then it should show message for that, again this

should be for specific order type.

pls give me condition for this form personalization..
