This thread will address your following issue

I am getting following error while applying patch 5974819
Running UTL_RECOMP.RECOMP_PARALLEL...

ORA-01041: internal error. hostdef extension doesn't exist

memory exhausted
ORA-24323: value not allowed
Error accessing package DBMS_APPLICATION_INFO
ERROR:
ORA-03114: not connected to ORACLE

AutoPatch error:
Error running adutlrcmp.pls in adprdcAdUtilrcmp()

An error occurred while compiling invalids using the SYS.UTL_RECOMP() package.
