Kerberos and Oracle authentication

I am having a problem with setting up a Kerberos authentication Oracle 11G R2 RAC database running on Linux OEL 5.  It appears to break some Oracle accounts, are Kerberos and Oracle authenticatio mutually exclusive?  Any help would be greatly appreciated.  Thanks
