Language set to English but report being displayed in Chinese

 Hi,
The output of the report is set to PDF. When the PDF is opened the whole text is displayed in Chinese. But if any text field is copied and pasted in a Notepad or any where else, we can see it in English only.  
If the output is converted to XML, then the XML is also in English only. 

The language is set to UTF8.

Any idea on why this is happening... Please let me know.
