IPS publishers on NGZs

Originally I had the following IPS publisher setup on NGZ z1:

z1:~# pkg publisher
PUBLISHER                             TYPE     STATUS   URI
solaris                  (syspub)     origin   online   proxy://http://depot-01.company.com/

Then I did the following:

z1:~# pkg set-publisher -g http://depot-01.company.com/ -G '*' solaris

z1:~# pkg publisher                    
PUBLISHER                             TYPE     STATUS   URI
solaris                  (syspub)     origin   online   http://depot-01.company.com/
solaris                  (syspub)     origin   online   proxy://http://depot-01.company.com/

Could you, please, clarify if proxy:// is more efficient or required instead or a "regular" (GZ) publisher setup?
How can I revert/undo this?
