Assign Employees to BOM Resources in R12: API / Dataloader?

Hi,

I am trying to assign Employees to BOM Resources in EAM R12.1.3, I have 2 questions:

1. As volume of employees to be assigned is large, is there an API to assign Employees to Resources programmatically thru API?

2. If answer to (1) is No, then if I use Dataloader to assign employees to BOM Resources, I am seeing a performance issue with the BOM Resource Form i.e. when clicked on Employees button it takes couple of minutes for the Employee Assignment Screen to show up. This means the Dataloading thru Forms will take lot more time than expected.

Kindly, let me know your thoughts around this?
