DMZ- Are there any additional ports that are required to be open between INTERNAL and EXTERNAL apps

Hi,


We are implementing DMZ with an external apps tier and a reverse proxy. I'm not sure if there are any additional ports that are required to be open between the internal and external apps tier. As per the doc 380490.1 there are no additional ports required between internal and external apps tier but does it change depending on the products we use? 

Any help is greatly appreciated.
