Processor requirements for 11.2

What are the processor requirements for Oracle Database 11g Standard Edition?  I am planning to buy an HP Proliant ML350 GEN8 with two 8-core processors.  Someone said I must make sure 11g is multi-threading for multi-core processors.  What if it's Standard Edition One instead, will the requirements be the same other only 2 sockets for Standard Edition One and 4 sockets for the other one?

10/23:  I need to clarify my question:  It's about multi-core processors, not processor sockets.  Is it OK to use dual or quad core processors on a server running 11.2?  Thanks.
