EOQ Replenishment with Demand

Good day,

The users at my company are currently using EOQ replenishment.  For the most part, they are fine with it.

They do want demand to be taken into account in cases where the on-order quantity will not be enough to satisfy demand  This would occur when an order is placed for an item, but then backorders come in during the lead time.

I assumed demand quantity replenishment would be the answer, but it appears to only be able to use the reorder quantity.  Is there a way to have reorder quantity recalculated as EOQ for items set up to use demand quantity?  Is there another way to have EOQ but handle backorders?

Howdy, Stranger!
