Item Level UDA Mapping with RFI Line Item Attributes (Oracle PIM and SLM integration)

HelloWe have a requirement to create an Item-Qualification RFI, so that Suppliers can be qualified and approved for supplying specific items. 

Standard Solution - Oracle has a standard solution wherein one can create RFI in Oracle SLM module, and associate items at RFI lines., Furthermore Item attributes can be defined at each RFI lines, which can be maped to Item Attributes defined Oracle PIM Item UDA's.

I could manage to define UDA's in PIM module, and have attached them to Item Catalog Category. I can even see these UDA's in Oracle SLM module RFI. The issue now is, as soon as I select PIM UDA's in RFI mapping, it wipes off the mapping with Item Category.
