Solaris 11.1 FedFs

I'm trying to learn more about FedFs before November, 7th Solaris 11.1 Launch.I've found the attached PDF interesting.
Other pointers would be appreciated.

Particularly on requirements I'm wondering if (or in the Solaris 11.1 implementation):
  • LDAP is an absolutely requirement
  • FedFs do requires NFSv4.1 (= pNFS = massive scalability = high performance)
