Creation of a new BI Publisher Report : Best Practises

Hi there,

 We have a requirement of developing a custom BI Publisher report  based on standard report (XLAAARPT -Shrot name)

Below are the stepd which we would follow :

1.It will be using the standard EXECUTABLE -XML Publisher Data Template Executable

Executable Short Name: - XDODTEXE ,

Execution File Name : JCP4XDODataEngine

Execution File Path :oracle.apps.xdo.oa.cp

Since this standard Java class dosn't needs any change, new executable will not be created.Or should a replica of this executable be created ??

2.New Concurrent Program set  will be created for the standard executable.with custom name.

3.Standard Data Template will be used and a new custom data template will be preapred like-
